If the site's legit then I'll approve your comment even if you've left me no clues as to why you've picked it for that post. I may hazard some guesses or share some thoughts or I may not. Totally depends on so many little things, does it actually get my attention, do I like it or hate it, is there anything noteworthy I can mention, is it really thought-provoking thus requiring time to think and decide on what to say or as simple as do I feel like spending time exploring it and then do I have the energy left to write about it.
Point of the that lovely run-on almost sentence that's long enough to constitute a paragragh? I will vet any sites shared via a comment before approving them. I will be very unhappy if they are bullshit spam like sites and extremely aggravated if they are malicious.
In my world, malicious includes sneaky attempts to trick users into installing spyware or other crap. Fair warning that in either case you can expect me to become a nusicance in your life for annoying me and wasting my time. If you send me to site that infects my computer, you will be
That hopefully was just enough to ward off obnoxious people without scaring off people who want to leave legitimate links. To be perfectly clear, I have no problem with links to sites I think are stupid, useless, tasteless, or even point blank offensive. I'm only talking about sites that intentionally attempt to install malware, deceptively try to trick the user into agreeing to it, spam sites, and other sites that deliberately try to invade privacy.
If you've got only a vague idea of what I'm talking about then you don't need to worry about it b/c I'm trying to protect you from the people who know exactly what I'm talking about. The greedy or just evil dudes that prowl blogs posting links hoping that the bloggers' requiring comment approval won't actually check if they add a half intelligble sentence to the comment.
And as always feel free to leave thoughts, comments, questions, scathing rebuttals, or whatever as long as it's remotely relevant to the dialogue I'll approve the post.
